Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Regional Tourism

Bourgogne merged with
Franche-Comté to
form the new
administrative region of
Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

The region
of Bourgogne (Burgundy) has four departments: Cote-d'Or (21), Nievre (58), Saone-et-Loire (71) and Yonne (89).
Neighbouring regions are Auvergne,
Centre, Champagne-Ardennes,
Franche-Comte,
Ile-de-France and Rhone-Alpes.
The regional capital of
Burgundy is Dijon.
Bourgogne is famous for its gastronomy and excellent wines but
didn't become French until 1477.
Often overlooked by visitors on the degustation tour is the waterways
of Bourgogne.
If you've got the time, slow down and hire a canal boat.
