The Tropic of Capricorn

Capricorn Tourism:
The official site of the regional tourism authority responsible for the promotion and management of the Capricorn Region as a tourist destination.

Capricorn Coast Tourist Organisation:
The Capricorn Coast has golden days, balmy moonlit nights and spectacular sunsets to allow you to breathe in the scent of the tropics.

Biloela Countyman Motel:
The Biloela Countryman Motel is situated on the Burnett highway 17 (Monto road) very close to the Biloela CBD. Accommodation is in 29 motel units and 15 self-contained bungalows.

Great Keppel Island Resort:
Great Keppel Island Contiki Resort is a tropical paradise off the central Queensland coast where you can relax on one of 17 sandy beaches, swim in calm blue waters or try out over 40 free sports. The resort caters for 18-35's only and children 0-17 are not allowed.

Capricorn Caves:
A unique system of above-ground caves in a limestone ridge situated 23km north of Rockhampton. These ancient caves have been attracting visitors since their discovery by John Olsen in 1882.

Koorana Crocodile Farm:
Half an hour's drive from Rockhampton or Yeppoon, on the Emu Park Road.

Rockhampton Botanic Gardens:
Rockhampton's Botanic Gardens are regarded as among the best in regional Australia. Excellent specimens of palms, cycads and ferns are found throughout the beautifully manicured grounds.

Rockhampton Heritage Village:
The Rockhampton Heritage Village is an active township museum where visitors can experience the rich and colourful history of the Rockhampton District. Situated just past the Yeppoon turn-off on the Bruce Highway.

Rockhampton Tourist Information:
Rockhampton sits astride Queensland's largest and most picturesque river, the Fitzroy. The magnificent Berserker Ranges and Mt Archer provide an imposing backdrop to this city, located on the Tropic of Capricorn and is 40 kilometres drive inland from the Pacific Ocean.
