Batemans
Bay Sea Kayaks:
Located opposite the Batehaven shops, BBSK run kayak tours on the lower reaches of the
Clyde River and the beaches of the southern end of the Murramarang National Park. A
resident pod of dolphins cruises the southern side of the Bay and it is common to see them
on the tours.

On the banks of the Clyde River's broad sweeping estuary, the seaside resort of Batemans

Bodalla:
T.S. Mort laid the foundations for dairy farming and cheesemaking in the 1870's, which
helps explain the presence of a big cheese at the northern end of Bodalla.
Central Tilba:
This tiny timber township has become a major tourist attraction as the old shops have been
replaced by restaurants, coffee lounges and gift shops. The main street can be walked in
about ten minutes but the siren call of gift shops and coffee lounges is there so the
visitor can easily spend a couple of hours.
Eden:
A particularly beautiful area of the New South Wales far south coast originally settled by
whalers and now a fishing port and a popular, but relatively undeveloped, holiday resort
town.

This is a community based three-day event, which celebrates the annual migration of whales
through Eden's waters and Eden's unique whaling and maritime heritage -- held in October.

Old Mogo Town is a faithful re-creation of Mogo as it was believed to be in the heady Gold
Rush days of the 1850s. Located between Batemans Bay and Moruya.

Cultural Tours:
At the Cultural Centre you can see historical photographs of the Aboriginal reserve at
Wallaga Lake (via Narooma) and also extensive documentation on the local Yuin peoples
fight for the protection of their sacred sites. There is also a workshop viewing area
where you can watch Aboriginal spears and boomerangs being made.
Morton National Park:
Sandstone scenery on a grand scale. To the south, George Boyd lookout, Little Forest
Plateau and Pigeon House Mountain offer views of the coastline and the Budawang and
Ettrema wilderness areas. The Tianjara lookout, on the Nowra-Braidwood road, provides
views of Tianjara Falls. On the western side at Tallong there are spectacular views of the
Shoalhaven Gorge from Badgerys and Longpoint lookouts.

Nowra is bustling centre of the Shoalhaven, focusing on shopping and administration, but
also featuring pleasant streetscaping and historic buildings. Surrounding Nowra are
rolling green pastures, thickly timbered mountains and clean rivers, beaches and bay.

The Shoalhaven boasts a wide range of popular natural attractions. As well as its
magnificent beaches and waterways, the Shoalhaven is home to the famous and beautiful
areas of Jervis Bay, the Kangaroo Valley, Ettrema Wilderness, Budawang Ranges and Morton
National Park.
Tathra:
Set like a gem into shades of green and blue, Tathra surrounds itself in the natural
beauty of both Mimosa National Park to the north, and Bournda National Park to the south.

The Milton Ulladulla area is an ideal holiday or weekend destination located at the centre
of the Shoalhaven region of the NSW South Coast. Driving time from Sydney is 3 hours and Canberra
